In May this year we completed this project. It was a full repair and resanding project throughout the entire appartment in Edinburgh's Morningside district. The floorboards were narrow pine stripped flooring, and required extensive repairs to achieve a consistent finish.

Re-sanded Stockbridge flat, dyed with mid-Oak stain
This Stockbridge flat was re-sanded and coloured, having been poorly sanded by a previous owner. As well as replacing a few damaged floorboards, the client wished that we filled all the gaps as there were cooking smells and drafts from the property below.
The dye selected was light-fast mid-Oak colour, giving a rich warm feel throughout. The colour enabled us to blend areas of recently installed floorboards in the bedroom, to match the original boards in the small bedroom, living room and hallway.

Re-sanded drawing room with oak floor
This drawing room with it's distinctive narrow oak boards sanded up beautifully. We did not apply any dye - this is just the natural rich colour of the wood showing through. It was finished with three coats of two-part commercial lacquer.

Two drawing rooms with pitch pine borders.
We recently completed these two stunning drawing rooms with pitch pine borders in the West End of Edinburgh. The finish used on these floors was a two-part commercial lacquer. The central area will be covered with rugs leaving the beautiful border exposed.
